5 Dresses for the Fall Season
It’s finally ‘Sweater Weather’ here in Chicago! I’ve been on the hunt for some new fall dresses, especially to wear for date nights and out for drinks with friends. I love these five looks that are perfect for the cooler weather and can also transition easily into the colder months with jackets and cardigans. Many of these are great options for work as well! Which one is your favorite?
Look 1
Thermal fabric doesn’t just have to be for tops! From the waffle knit fabric to the ruching on one side, this Free People dress has such great texture and details. I also like the hem – it’s a lettuce edge that gives the dress some movement. It’s a perfect dress for fall family photos! Wearing small in dress and a 4 in jacket.
Look 2
While this look is not technically a dress, this pencil skirt and asymmetrical top are too good not to mention! Ribbed sweater skirts are trending this fall and I’m loving this one from Express. It’s a versatile piece for work days or weekends! The top is $44 from the body contour line and is included in the Buy One, Get One 50% off sale. This flattering top can be worn with dress pants for work or even styled with boyfriend jeans for a more casual look.
Look 3
A lightweight sweater dress is a must-have for fall! At only $29, this Target dress is a steal. The knit pattern is so pretty and I love the midi length. It’s available in four colors. It does run a bit oversized, so I suggest that you size down.
Look 4
This chunky turtleneck sweater dress is SO beautiful! It is a bit more expensive, but it’s such good quality and will be great on cold days since it’s made mainly of wool. Not to mention, the fabric is so soft that it feels like cashmere. The cutout at the shoulder and belt provide a unique and modern twist to the fall sweater dress! I am wearing a small, but need to size down to an xsmall.
Look 5
I’m truly loving this ribbed and ruched midi dress! So much so, it’s even in my Top 5 fall pieces this year! It fits so well and is beyond comfortable. The ruching goes all the way down both sides for a flawless look. I’m in a xsmall, but I think a small could work as well. Style it with a long cardigan or a fall plaid coat to finish the look.
