Mother’s Day with Evereve
Hello! Can you believe Mother’s Day is just around the corner? I swear I blinked and it is almost here. May is a busy month for us with birthday’s and they always seem to merge into Mother’s Day weekend! I have spent some time reflecting after this past weekend on how grateful I am to have my mom and an amazing mother in law who I couldn’t be more thankful for. One question comes to mind for me. That is; what does Mom or Mother mean to you? It’s not always who we expect to be a mother figure in our lives that really are or sometimes we are all that we know, which is a mother ourselves. Whichever the answer and whoever it may be, this is one day a year that is special to me. Not because I want gifts or anything of that nature, but because motherhood has taught me more than I ever knew I needed. It is a day I like to be with my kids in the morning, especially that breakfast in bed that is made out of play dough or playroom toys, with a side of bacon that daddy helped whip up. It is the little I love you notes when learning how to write, and the excitement on their little faces running into the bedroom while I pretend I haven’t heard them hair pulling screams two seconds prior. I remember it much the same as a little girl. I would run into my moms room with her PB&J toast that had far too much jelly falling off the sides and a homemade or school made gift that the glued on jewels were falling off of.
This mothers day is a little different for me. I feel extra grateful. I have two healthy little girls that look up to me every single day. Doesn’t matter what the day brings, they are there waiting to see how I will respond to a question or staring through the shower glass and arguing on who gets to stand closer. Many of those days I am rushing and not paying much attention and then wishing I had 5 minutes to myself in the shower, which we all know hasn’t happened since I have become Mom! Mother’s Day has a whole new meaning. I never felt anything short of loved from my Mom, and I can only hope to be half the mother she was to me. My girls are a bit young still and not sure they totally understand any of this just yet, but needless to say I am looking forward to a morning with my munchkins and then the entire day to MYSELF! Just kidding! Although that could be nice, I tend to like to be surrounded with family and close friends on this day.
I am so excited to be partnering with one of my favorite stores for this years Mother’s Day, Evereve! If you have the chance to go and shop for yourself or treat yourself, Evereve always makes my shopping experiences some of the best. They will even allow the kids to play while you shop and believe me, they are prepared for just about anything! One thing near and dear to me is what Evereve stands for and this is why I am so passionate about the company. They are a brand about women, for women, and they strive to empower you everyday! As moms, you give so much to your family that getting dressed some days can be a big win! I am sharing some of my Evereve looks here with you and these pieces I find to be not only comfortable, but cute and versatile too.
Here’s to wishing all the moms near and far a Happy Mother’s Day! This is your day and do what makes you happy and feel loved. One of my favorite things to do is pick out my flower pots with my kids because lord knows this mama doesn’t plant them and the kids only last about ten minutes themselves! And to my girls who may one day read this, thank YOU. Thank you for making me your mom and for teaching me a love I have never known before.
