What I’m Packing For Spring Break Vacation
Friends…It’s. SO. Cold. We’re escaping this freezing, winter weather for a socially distanced family vacation! Like many of you we haven’t traveled for almost a year now – we’re so excited. And, since I’ve been living in sweats for so long, it’s been a lot of fun to plan my outfits and what I’m packing for spring break vacation.
Outfits
The key to packing smart is picking pieces that are versatile and in the same color palette. This is the same basic idea as coordinating a spring capsule wardrobe. You will be able to easily mix and match pieces in case a surprise adventure or two come up!
These staple pieces are perfect for a spring break getaway! White denim jeans, black hat, white gauze shirt, and jean jacket – you can mix and match them so many ways.
Sizing: Jeans – True to size; Gauze shirt – xsmall
You can change up the gauze shirt in many ways and it’s the perfect accessory to this flowy maxi dress!
Sizing: Shirt dress – xsmall; Gauze shirt – xsmall
When I say that this gauze shirt is a must have…I mean it! It’s so versatile! It will also be a great piece to pair with a jumpsuit for a cool evening. This jumpsuit is just GORGEOUS! It’s classy, flattering, and not see-through.
Sizing: Jumpsuit – small; Gauze shirt – xsmall
This dress is another cute option and I’m loving the color. I added one of my favorite belts to finish the look. Don’t forget about your footwear – these sandals are a Free People dupe for a fraction of the price.
Sizing: Dress – xsmall
Of course I had to bring back the gauze top for one more look! Paired with my favorite pair of ripped mom jeans, a black hat, and the best braided sandals.
Sizing: Jeans – True to Size; Gauze shirt – xsmall; Sandals – go up half size
Swimwear
I really wanted to pick up some new swimwear this year. I found so many cute styles that still have plenty of coverage!
Love this swimsuit! Nice coverage, but size up. A hat for the beach is a must to care of your skin.
I was a bit nervous about this 2-piece suit and too much midriff showing. But, with the high-waisted bottoms and the long sleeves for sun protection, it has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s super flattering – safe to size up!
Don’t forget a casual outfit for the beach. I plan to wear this tank over my swimsuits!
Sizing: Tank – xsmall; Shorts – small
Travel Essentials
Having the right travel gear is so important. We love our suitcases – they’re sturdy and have been with us on so many trips. Also, I just found this wipe holder! On one side it has the area for wipes and on the other it has a pouch for masks. Definitely essential for this trip!
Travel tip: Bring a pop-up hamper with you for the hotel room! It will help you keep the dirty clothing separate, the room tidy, and you’ll feel more at home.
