Hey there friends! Can you even believe that it’s February already!? January flew by in the blink of an eye! We’re heading to Texas for a work trip this week and I cannot wait to get to some warmer weather! Fingers crossed the rain holds off! Looking forward to a date night with Paul and meeting some of my co workers and friends!
When a new season rolls around do you change up your skincare or beauty products? I’m sharing my current beauty must haves for spring. I have some new skincare, makeup, hair care items and a new nail color you’re going to love.
Here are all of the current makeup products I use every day! For the foundation I use shade 5.5. I have also used Tarte for a long time and their products never fail me! Don’t forget those nails! I think I found the best light pink for Spring! Color is: Lisbon wants moor by OPI! This has been a favorite color of mine.
We’re heading to Florida soon and I’m packing all of these items! Must haves for a beach trip! This linen button down from Amazon is so CUTE! I sized up and the Body Blur is like makeup for your body! I use shade: latte. The Ilia skin tint is another crowd pleaser. I gave it a try but still prefer the Josie Maran for my face. Both have SPF and work similar. I tried shade 9.5 in the Ilia which was a perfect match as far as color goes. I found it less hydrating vs. Josie Maran.
I recently purchased these hot rollers and I’m impressed! They’re on sale right now for $19 and they’re travel size too! I’m thinking I’ll pack them for our trip! I recently posted a tutorial on how I use them here! If you want massive volume without a round brush, this is for YOU!
My all time favorite hairspray is linked too! I swear you will never find a better hairspray! It’s firm holding and it’s for every type of hair.
Steps below:
1. Wash and dry your hair fully! (I just hand dried mine)
2. Light spray with hairspray or texture spray.
3. Section the hair
4. Start with bangs and roll back, forward for more lift!
5. Over direct the hair ALWAYS!!! This applies to curling irons too!
*I allow mine to cool and remove, style and spray! It’s easy!

And last but not least..My curling iron! I use 1.25” barrel. Here’s a tutorial on how I curl my hair!
A few tips for those perfect waves:
1. Spray before you curl with a light hairspray.
2. Curl from the TOP DOWN the strand.
3. Take vertical sections for softer look.
4. Always curl away from your face.
5. Finish by grabbing a few random pieces on top to add texture.
6. Lift and spray for volume. Let cool
7. Tease with a pick UP the hair strand slightly!
