Morning Friends! Summer is in full swing here and we couldn’t be loving it more! I often times get asked how I make time for ME during the busy days of summer along with working and being a wife. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make time for you. I am blessed to have had a life long best friend who I love to spend time with as well as a great guy by my side. This summer I took a day for me. I snagged a quick pedicure after my workout and ran to do some shopping. One of my favorite things to do for me when times are tough, is grab a quick nap and either schedule a date night or spend time with those who know me best. These always seem to be the best nights. No stress, lots of laughs and just easy breezy.
Something I have learned about myself over the years is that my love language is quality time and it couldn’t be more true! Spending time with those I love is when I am at my best. I still consider it time for me, even with others. They are all part of what makes me, me!
As soon as Evereve asked me to a part of their #chaseyoursun campaign, I knew I had to do it! It is everything I believe in. Make time for YOU, follow your light, and do what makes YOU happy. What I love so much about this campaign is we often times forget about ourselves and what truly fills our love tanks. It is so easy to forget about you in the craziness of summer or life in general. No matter where you are in life, this is something we all need a little bit of. Time for YOU.
One of my favorite shopping days was with my best girlfriend. We stopped at Evereve before we headed for a quick cup of coffee because… #momlife! Evereve always has an outfit for us both! I love spending time with her where we can actually just chat and laugh and RELAX! For us this was exactly that. We spent a majority of our time laughing like always and these are the days I cherish. They are far and few between with kids and life, but it is important to make time. Our journey as friends began 18 years ago. You know those friends that turn into family? Nicole is just that. I never had a sister and she is the closest thing to having one. One of my all time favorite quotes is “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Make time for you this summer. Even if it’s just one hour. Cherish those who support you and most of all, chase YOUR sun! Whatever it may be.
