The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 – What you need to know!
It’s almost here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of my favorite sales of the year! I’m sharing all of the important info you need to know before shopping! The preview begins Thursday, July 24! This is the one sale a year that you can shop new fall arrivals, ON SALE! It is my personal most shopped sale of the year as well because it also allows us to snag the new arrivals on sale just like you! EVERYTHING you need to know is in this post. Be sure to read below on how to get first looks and links to shop the best of the sale. I do a TON of prep and preview work for you guys to help make it easier to shop and find the best deals. Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter and text message alerts, as well as following along on social media. This is the best way to stay up to date. I will be sharing it here first.

This is the one sale all year that you can shop lots of the fall and winter items that aren’t released yet before they go back to full price after the sale! Remember to shop quickly because these items sell out very fast. They sometimes restock them slowly, but not always. I always suggest ordering both sizes if needed because you can always return. Nordstrom offers free returns if you shop Nordstrom.com.
The preview will begin July 24 and the sale is open to everyone on August 19, and you can shop it early if you have or have been approved for a Nordstrom Card. Early Access is for cardholders only and begins August 13. If you are not a card holder yet, you can get approved HERE to shop the early access. I highly suggest doing this, there are many perks and this will help shop before items sell out. If you are approved and purchase something, you will get $40 in a Nordstrom “note” to shop during the sale! A note is like Nordstrom cash, they are a great perk and you will gain points all year-long for more!
I will be posting my favorite picks from the sale as soon as I can! Be sure to check this page and my Instagram posts and Instagram Stories for my try on session and updates. Stories will be very busy with hourly updates as well as my Facebook Page where you can reference back without having to re watch them if needed! I also will be rolling out extra text messages for the first time for this particular sale. You must sign up and opt in if you wish to receive text messages right to your phone directly from me! I think this will be key for the sale this year since items go so fast you can just click and shop via text. Be sure to sign up HERE for text messages and OPT IN!
Why Shop this Sale?
This is the one sale all year that inventory is brand new. No one has seen it and it will be the newest items for fall and winter which we all know is my favorite! This is also the time I stock up for my girls on their Ugg boots and winter jackets. They will be the newest and marked down the lowest all season typically. These items all go very fast so I cannot stress enough to add to your cart and click purchase! Sometimes it is better to do a few purchases to you can snag what is in your cart before it is gone. Many times you will go to checkout and it is gone. I like to break my purchases down and try to do a few at a time so I can snag what I love.
How to Shop?
The BEST way to shop this sale by far is online with in store pick up, or simply online with free shipping right to your door. This will save you a ton of time and aggravation. It is my job to help sift through all of the items for you and I LOVE covering this sale to help make it easy!
Easiest Way to Shop the Sale?
Personally I like to shop this sale online and if items are needed or wanted quickly, I like the order online and pick up in store option. Nordstrom also offers curb side pick up so you don’t even have to drag the kiddies inside or get dressed! It is the best for items you may want or need quickly. This year stock may be limited in your local stores so I am not sure how available curb side will be for sizing. Normally Nordstrom ships pretty efficiently so if you don’t mind waiting a few days, online orders are the most hassle free in my opinion.
My Advice for the Sale?
Shop early and FAST. If you are following on my Instagram stories, once you swipe up, be sure to sign in and purchase right away! Yes, items go that fast and sizes are gone even faster. Whether it is on my social media account or in the LiketoKnow.it App, just snag it once you see it. Nordstrom offers free returns. I have said it before and I will say it again, order all sizes if you are unsure of what you need for this sole purpose.
Know what it is you are shopping for. I typically do basics and must have boots and shoes this time of year. I will be doing the best deals and versatile pieces for the upcoming season. Don’t forget to think ahead to those cold months. This is why I always shop for my kids winter wear this exact sale. We have very cold winters and this is the best time to snag outerwear. The mens preview this year looks really good to me. I will be adding in a mens guide and sale picks as well on social media. My husband will be helping with his favorites as well!
