Top 3 Mom Jeans For All Body Types

By now, you’ve probably heard that skinny jeans are ‘out’. With all things 90’s trending right now, it’s no surprise that mom and boyfriend jeans are popular. I’ll still be wearing some skinny jeans, but I also wanted to show you my three favorite pairs of mom and boyfriend – or mom-friend – jeans and the way I styled them.

What exactly are mom and boyfriend jeans? Sometimes they look very similar hence the term mom-friend jeans! Mom jeans tend to have a more relaxed fit and sit high on your waist. They are loose around the thighs and end with a more tapered leg. Often, they have a rolled hem right above the ankle. Boyfriend jeans are more baggy for a relaxed, comfortable fit. They tend to sit mid-low on the waist and should look a little oversized.

Pair 1

This pair is my top denim pick during the Nordstrom Sale! They’re a skinny boyfriend jean and actually so slimming. Great for if you’re needing some new jeans for work that aren’t too expensive at $58 on sale. I styled them with an oversized for fall. I’m wearing TTS in these jeans – size down if you’re in between.

PAIR 2

These mom jeans are hands down a favorite and also on sale ($66)! I love the hem details and the fit is so flattering. I like these for a night out with booties! Even though they’re a bit looser in the thighs and knees, they taper down perfectly for an oversized top. I paired it with a loose striped beach shirt for a fun, casual look. In LOVE with this top by the way! I have it in two colors and its great for work, too. This pair of denim fits TTS.

PAIR 3

Another pair of boyfriend jeans, but the distressing on these make them some of my favorite. These are $89 + free shipping! While boyfriend jeans do fit looser in the hips, this pair is definitely slimming. Loving this brand all around and the price is great! I paired them with a chic, ruffle sleeve top from Target and my leather jacket for an evening out to dinner. I’m wearing TTS– size down if you’re finding yourself in between sizes!
