I am so ready to get the backyard patio ready for spring! It’s been such a tease here this past week, but it definitely got me in the mood to start thinking about the yard and patio! We live outside during the warm months especially with the kids. I really wanted my outdoor space to be an extension of the indoors, which is so easily done these days! Just about anywhere you go you can find all those outdoor living add ons and furniture. I wanted to wrap up a few of my favorites as well as what I must have this year!
First up, these solar light patio umbrellas !!! Yes solar-powered! You heard that right. Charges all day long and the perfect warm glow at night and no cords to be tripping over! If you’re anything like us, we enjoy being out just about all day and night and since its short-lived here in Chicago, we splurge where necessary! These have come a long way over the past few years and this is one of the best prices I have ever seen!

Outdoor rugs!!! I always thought they were a complete waste and how could it really last anyway? Wrong! I cannot tell you how much outdoor rugs transformed my space!!! You can find these just about anywhere, from online to your local stores, and I will link a few of my favorites as well! Happy shopping and don’t be afraid to add a pop of color here! Also , great for the kids.

Furniture sets! They are endless!!! Here’s what we have on our rug, we went practical. Kids and …. well let’s just leave it at that! I like the fact that you can also change out the cushions if needed. I think this is a great set for the value. It is beyond reasonable.
Those that have visited here before, know my love for lanterns and guess what??? These are also solar-powered!!! YES. Solar. They come to life when the sun goes down! Obsessed. Can also be brought indoors after sun down and work great!
Outdoor throw pillows! Again, endless. These have 24 style options for you all, and just under $24 for a set of two! You can find these just about anywhere and I add them to the front porch for a pop of color as well as your normal patio set! You can throw these into any space, indoor or outdoor! They are durable.
This is one of my favorite things. Keep this in mind for Fathers Day gift ideas. This all in one portable speaker is also waterproof and the output of sound is pretty incredible! You can have multiple of these for syncing options, indoor to outdoor, as well as bluetooth capable. This has been rained on and juice spilled on it , we love ours!!! Travels well. Great size. On my must have list. The key here is waterproof. Take it to the beach or pool!!!
