Summer hosting and patio essentials

Today is officially the first day of Summer! With Summer time in full swing, we enjoy hosting, having friends and family over to swim, and hanging out outside as much as we can! We try to take advantage of the nice weather while we can here in Chicago! I wanted to share some of our favorite Summer hosting and patio essentials to help make hosting easy for you! I get asked often about many of these items from our pool and patio! From fire pit tables to pool floats we have tested them all quite a bit.

In the Summertime you can always catch us outside eating lunch or dinner on our patio table. It’s a great size for hosting and can hold up to 8 people comfortably. We love the neutral color, sturdiness, and versatility as it also comes with a bench. Meanwhile, our outdoor fire pit table has been a favorite by all. We love the size, solid stone look, and the hidden storage for the propane tank. Paul and I love to relax out here for a night cap.

Summer hosting essentials

As many of you know, we love hosting at the Lillie household. Our favorite hosting essentials include bar cart coolers, wine bottle chillers, and acrylic wine glasses. When hanging out and hosting the outdoor bar cart cooler is key, fill with ice to store all your Summer drinks. I personally like how it is easily able to move to anywhere and also holds your stemware! I have had our for six years and counting!

we love pool days!

Here are some of our favorite pool floats for a Summer pool day. They’re from Walmart and very affordable. We love pool and water games. The girls enjoy playing on the slip and slide and Paul and I get pretty competitive playing the ring toss game, too. Did you have a slip and slide as a kid? I fondly remember ours!
